Do You Want To Get Back To Running But Feel Held Back By Pain And Stiffness?
A Personal Message From Dr. Lynne G. Virant

- Are you missing out on your social life because you aren’t able to run with your friends at the moment?
- Are you worried about losing your fitness level because pain or injuries are preventing you from running as much as you used to?
- Are you afraid that you might lose your primary outlet for feeling less stressed?
- Are you frustrated because you've tried strengthening, stretching, core work but you are unable to run without pain or injury?
- Are you a woman who loves to run and is looking for a long-term solution to keep active without pain getting in the way?
If You Answered “Yes” To Any Of These Questions,
You Are In The Right Place!
It’s common for ladies to put off seeking help when you’ve run on your own for a long time without issues. You might be thinking, “I can push through this like I always do!”
Many female runners suffer through pain and discomfort because someone told them that “every runner” experiences it at some point in their life.
If that’s happening to you, you’re definitely not alone, and we hear this type of thing all the time.
In fact, female runners are one of the most common clients that we see in our Pensacola clinic!

There’s A Lot Of Bad Advice Out There For Female Runners Such As...
FALSELY Told…
- Stand up straight, with your chest sticking out. This posture will prevent back pain that may keep you from running.
- Stretch more! If you take a few minutes to stretch before and after each run your problems will go away.
- You just need to buy a better running shoe and your aches and pains will go away.
But, The TRUTH Is...
- Stop standing up straight! This posture makes it harder to breathe and move (causing even more aches and pains while you run.)
- Stretching alone won’t help you run without pain. Stretching is good, but it only gives temporary relief.
- Your shoes might not be the problem. For many women, their shoes are fine but other parts of their running form is keeping them from their goals.

For Female Runners...
- You must choose the right person to help you with achieving your running goals . If you don’t, you could end up with pain, injuries, and unnecessary treatments like pain medications.
- Female runners need to be treated and trained differently than male runners. Our bodies are not the same, and should not be treated as such.
- To do that, you have to have a running specialist who is willing to partner alongside you, as a woman, to progress your running journey!
At The Movement Clinic We’ve Created A 3 Step Process To Help Female Runners:

STEP 1
We Get to Know YOU
Our FIRST step is to listen to your story.
We know that no two people are alike in the way their bodies respond to running and their goals.
We take time to have an open conversation and so you can tell us your story and share your aspirations.
That way we get a more complete understanding of what’s going on; not just with your body, but also how it’s impacting your quality of life.
STEP 2
We Implement YOUR Customized Plan Together
YOU need a plan tailored to YOUR needs (as a woman, spouse, parent, friend, family member….) and YOUR goals.
Many runners are held back by injuries, illness, or even other stressors going on in their lives that affect their recovery and their ability to hit the pavement or trail as often as they like.
When you partner with The Movement Clinic, we work TOGETHER with you as a team to set up YOUR customized plan so you can recover better, faster and stronger and get back to running!
STEP 3
We Coach and Teach You How to Be Active FOR LIFE
“What would be possible if pain or injury wasn’t keeping you from running or walking?”
When you are hurting, it’s difficult to see beyond the struggle and all you can think about is not hurting.
Once you are feeling better…. YOUR vision of running and walking becomes even greater!
Suddenly there are no limits and we coach and teach you ways to think and move so you can take charge of your health.
Finally Get Started Running!
Let’s chat about how you can feel like yourself again.
Sincerely,
